Nelly Nguyễn was born in Hochiminh city, Vietnam.
In 2007, she finished her BA in Visual Communication and worked as graphic designer in Singapore and Vietnam before turning to photography as a new path in her career.
In 2012, she received her diploma in Photography with double Distinction
*Distinction and awarded as outstanding student in The Arts University
College at Bournemouth, UK.
In 2013, her work got into finalist of the AOP Open Awards that run by the Association of Photographers, UK.
In 2019, she was among one of 15 artists from Vietnam, Thailand, Bangladesh, China and the UK that got curated by The Factory and Inlen Photo Gallery for the exhibition “Machine is Nature”. The exhibition was held from 22 Feb 2019 to 21 April 2019.
In 2022, Nelly was one of the artist got chosen by Mercedes Benz Vietnam to create artwork for the new C-Class launching event.
Nelly’s work concentrates mostly on portrait, food and still life with simple, intrigued visual whilst retaining personal view and the intimacy and honesty of portraiture. She never stop seeking for new ipsiration, exploring new photographic techniques and take every chance to travel and shoot.
